Patricia Ann Day

November 10, 1937 — February 11, 2026

Patricia Ann Day, 88, passed into God’s care February 11, 2026 in Ocala, Florida. She was born November 10, 1937 to William Orville Newman and Blondine Vernice Locklair in Covington, Kentucky. She worked as an auditor at St.Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach for many years before she retired to Ocala.

Pat was preceded into glory by her father W.O. Newman and mother Blondine, her brothers Bill Newman and Bob Newman and her sister Vivian Gough. She is survived by Ron Day, her husband, and three children, Trinda Day Martin, Melanie Day, & Ronald Day, two Grandchildren, Aislinn Saithu & Audreann Martin, along with three Great Granddaughters, Aaliyah Haridy, Laila Saithu, & Ameena Haridy.

Pat was a loving Wife to Ron for 72 years. Together they shared grand adventures from Kentucky to south Florida to Ocala, camping, boating, sailing and motorbiking. As avid Gold Wing enthusiasts, they motorcycled with Pat’s brothers and sister & their spouses across the USA and were long-time members of the local Goldwing Chapters, the latest being EWMA.

A true soldier of God’s word, Pat lived life accordingly. All who knew her will miss her generous smile, cheerful laughter and enthusiasm for enjoying life. She has passed from us, but has left us rich in memories.

A Memorial Service in Pat’s honor will be held at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church of Ocala on February 28th at 2:00 pm, followed by a small reception. Saint Paul’s United Methodist Church, 800 SE 41st Ave., Ocala, FL 34471. The service will live stream on You Tube on the St. Paul Methodist channel.
