Randall Wayne Shaw, "Randy" age 56, of Salt Springs, Florida, passed away on May 18, 2026. Born on January 21, 1970, in Williston, Florida, he was the beloved son of Fred and Linda Shaw.
Randy is preceded in death by his mother, Linda Shaw.
He leaves behind the love of his life, his wife, Jennifer Shaw; his son, Dustin Shaw; his daughters, Ashtin Shaw and Courtney Shaw; his cherished grandson, Hummell Zimmer; and his father, Fred Shaw.
Randy was a proud Florida State University graduate, earning his Bachelor of Science in Accounting in 1992 and going on to obtain his CPA license. His career was a testament to his dedication and character. As CEO and General Manager of Peace River Electric Cooperative for 14 years, he led a team of 140+ employees with both strength and humility. Randy made it a point to know each of his employees by name, and he poured himself into developing the people around him — believing deeply in the principles of servant leadership. His guidance shaped not only a company, but the lives of the people who worked alongside him.
His cooperative service included:
Director, Florida Electric Cooperatives Association (2012–2026)
President, Florida Electric Cooperatives Association (2023–2024)
Director, National Rural Electric Cooperatives Association (2021-2025)
Trustee, Seminole Electric Cooperative (2012–2026)
Director, Florida Rural Electric Self Insurers' Fund (2012–2026)
President, Florida Rural Electric Self Insurers' Fund (2014–2026)
Director, Florida Rural Electric Credit Union (2012–2024)
Treasurer, Georgia Right-of-Way Company (2007–2012)
Director, Georgia Right-of-Way Company (2016–2026)
Outside of work, Randy lived fully. He loved being out on the water, spending time on the golfcourse, and cheering on his beloved FSU Seminoles. But what truly lit him up was being surrounded by the people he loved. Randy had a gift for bringing people together — he was the life of every room he entered, and his warmth and laughter were contagious. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and his presence will leave a space in the hearts of all who knew him that nothing else can fill. Randy's charm, his servant's heart, and his love for life will be carried forward by everyone fortunate enough to have shared in his journey.
