HILL, RAY EUGENE
Ocala - Ray Eugene Hill, a decorated Vietnam war veteran and loving father, passed away on September 5, 2015.
Gene, as he was called by family and friends, left behind his loving wife, Kathleen; five sons, Malcolm, Jimmy, Joshua, Tyrell, and Chance Hill; his sisters, Anne, Kristina, and Jaime.
Gene was a MACV/SOG Recon Team leader in Vietnam where he received multiple awards to include multiple Purple Hearts, Bronze Star, and the Silver Star, our nations third highest honor.
Gene was also survived by his grandchildren, Hannah, Jeremiah, Gabrielle, Benjamin, Emmaliegh, Nicholas, Ty, Ariel, Bryan, Tanner, Jessica, and Sara, as well as the great grandchildren Georgia, Troy, Reagan, Cassidy and Destiny.
Gene touched the lives of all around him and all are grateful for his pain to finally be over. May he forever rest in peace. A memorial service Saturday, September 19, 2015 at the Ocala VFW, 4805 NE 36th Ave, Ocala, FL 34479 at 1:00 pm.
