Raymond Dean Guillarmod, age 82, of Reddick, Florida, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on January 26, 1943, in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, a son of Chip and June Guillarmod. He moved to South Florida in 1950 and grew up in Hialeah Florida.
Ray graduated from Miami Jackson High School in 1962. After graduation he joined the US Navy from October 1962 to October 1967 and was assigned to Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron Nine. After his military service, Ray’s lifetime career was maintenance supervisor but those who knew Ray, they would say he was a true “Jack of all trades.” He retired from Lockheed Martin and went to work at the University of Florida where he worked for a couple of years and left to pursue his long-time dream and retired from it all and started his woodworking passion full-time.
Ray was a warm and caring person. He was a friend to everyone he met and called most, “bud or buddy.” He always said it was “5 o’clock somewhere and it is Margarita Time!! He enjoyed family time and would say family time is important.
Ray leaves behind to cherish his memory; his wife of 42 years, Annie Guillarmod. Survived by his children, daughter, Stephanie Manifold (Jay) and son, Scott Guillarmod, grandchildren, Amanda Pinela (Erik), Erin Vutov (Mike), Meghan Gregurich (Justin), Derek Guillarmod and Devin Guillarmod, and four great grandchildren, Cristiano Pinela, Aurelio Pinela, Natalia Pinela, and Cian Gregurich.
Preceded in death by his parents Chip & June Guillarmod, brother Denny Guillarmod, and nephew Ketih Guillarmod.
A celebration of life will be private for family and friends.
The cremation arrangements have been entrusted with Countryside Funeral Home.
