Reginald Arthur Goodrich

Reginald Arthur Goodrich was peacefully called home following a lengthy illness on August 8, 2026, with his family near. Reginald was born in Hardwick, Vermont, on March 28, 1944, to Earl Joseph and Beatrice (Betty) Rosabelle (Moore) Goodrich. He grew up in Woodbury, Vermont, and graduated from Hardwick Academy. He married the love of his life, Donna Southwick of Cornish, NH, on June 11, 1966. They were married for 60 years and raised four children together.

He worked various jobs during his long life, running an Esso Station in Portland, Maine, where their son was born; a correctional officer for the now-closed Vermont maximum security prison in Windsor, VT, where he rose to Sargent, while living on the family farm in Cornish, NH for 8 years before moving the family to Ocala, FL, in 1978 where he and Donna ran R & D Concrete Contracting for 30 years until he retired in 2008.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Betty Goodrich; three brothers,

Kenny, Stanley, and Roy Goodrich; two daughters, Sara Anne and Mary Jean Goodrich; and one son, Thomas Charles Goodrich. He is survived by his wife, Donna Goodrich; daughter and son-in-law Betty Jane (Jeremy) Whatton, Clermont, FL; daughter-in-law Ines Vasquez, Ocala, FL; son-in-law Nathaniel Thibodeaux, Ocala, FL; and grandchildren Nicholas Delsanto, Greenville, PA; Petty Officer Kaitlin Goodrich, US Navy, Mayport, FL; Kalab Thibodeaux, Silver Springs, FL; Jacob Thibodeaux, Ocala, FL; Jennifer and Seth Thibodeaux, Clermont, FL; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews.

He, along with Donna, was a lifetime ambassador for the CEP of Ocala/Marion County, representing both at many functions over the years. His love of flowers always kept our retirement gardens and house full of beauty and love. He was always willing to help anyone and was loved by all who met him.
