Reverend Daniel McDonald a devoted servant of God and Army veteran went home to be with the Lord on February 14, 2026, at the age of 95. Born on November 11, 1930 to Daniel B. McDonald and Francis Jane McDonald in Dothan Alabama. Daniel’s life was defined by an unwavering commitment to his calling and an immense love for his wife and family.
A Life of Service
In 1963, Daniel answered a divine call to ministry. By 1965 he decided to open doors and preach the word where he felt led. He didn't just preach from a pulpit; he lived what he taught and his life was a testament to his devotion. He spent every day seeking to bring others closer to the faith that guided his own steps.
Family and Legacy
Daniel was the devoted husband of Mary McDonald for 74 years. Though he felt her loss deeply when she preceded him in death, his strength remained an anchor for his large and growing family.
He leaves behind his four daughters and their families:
• Marlene and her husband, Vic
• Danna and her husband, Donnie
• Kathy and her husband, Terry
• Carla
Daniel’s influence reaches across generations, as he is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren, with another addition to the family expected soon. To his family, he was more than a minister; he was a source of wisdom, a steady hand, and a living example of a life well-lived. The best papa they could of asked for.
"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." — 2 Timothy 4:7
A service to honor Daniel’s life and ministry will be held at Countryside Funeral home in Anthony Fl. On February 27th at 12pm.
