Richard Miranda

November 23, 1955 — February 24, 2026

Richard Miranda, 70, of Fall River, Massachusetts, passed away on February 24, 2026. Born on November 23, 1955, in Fall River, he was the son of the late Edmund and Lena Cabral Miranda.

Richard was a true entrepreneur at heart and the proud owner of MirandaRoofing and Construction for over 40 years. Through dedication, determination, and an unmatched work ethic, he built his business from the ground up and earned the respect of his community. He believed that success came from hard work, integrity, and standing by your word. His strong work ethic defined his life and set an example for everyone around him.

Richard proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Army. The discipline and commitment he learned in the service carried through every aspect of his life — in business, in family, and in the way he carried himself.

Above all else, Richard was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother. Family was the center of his world. He was a protector, a provider, and a steady presence — someone his loved ones could always count on. His pride in his children and grandchildren was evident in everything he did.

He was predeceased by his parents, Edmund and Lena Cabral Miranda, and by his brothers, Edmund, James, Joseph, and Dennis Miranda.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 50 years, Dorene Miranda; his son, Richard Miranda, Jr.; his daughter-in-law, Tricia Miranda; his daughter, Barbara Ann Rosyski; his brother, Robert “Bobby” Miranda; his sisters, Nancy and Carol; his beloved grandchildren, Kyle Miranda, Miranda Rosyski, Alyssa Miranda, and Maddoxx Rosyski; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on April 18th from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at McGovern’s Family Restaurant, 310 Shove Street, Fall River, MA 02724. Family and friends are invited to attend and celebrate Richard’s life and legacy.

His legacy of strength, perseverance, patriotism, and devotion to family will live on in the lives he shaped and the love he gave so freely.
