BEWLEY, Robert Malcolm
Ocala - Robert Malcolm Bewley, 94, passed away May 13, 2015.  Born December 12, 1920, in Fort McCoy, FL, to Reed James Bewley and Amy Blanche Cowart, he has resided in Marion County all his life. He was a WWII United States Navy Veteran who survived the bombing of Pearl Harbor. After serving 20 years,  he retired and worked as a Rural Letter Carrier at Citra for another 20 years.  He was a longtime member of Unity Baptist Church, the Masonic Lodge #19, Scottish Rite, Order of the Eastern Star and Woodmen of the World. He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years Maxine Dykes Bewley. He is survived by his son, David Malcolm Bewley, Gulfport, FL; daughter, Nancy Roberta Bewley, Ocala, FL, grandchildren Leslie Shepherd Anderson of Orlando FL, and William A Shepherd Jr. of Tallahassee, FL and great grandchildren Ethan, Kendall and Olivia Anderson of Orlando, FL. Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Friday, May 22, 2015, at Countryside Funeral Home, 9185 NE Jacksonville Rd., Anthony, FL.  Graveside Service will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, May 23, 2015, at Fort McCoy Cemetery, with Pastor Samuel W. Clements officiating.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Rodeheaver Boys Ranch, 380 Boys Ranch Rd., Palatka, FL  32177.  Arrangements under the care of Countryside Funeral Home.
