Ronald I. Lirot

Ronald I. Lirot, 64, of Ocala, Florida, passed away on August 21, 2026. He was born on February 26, 1962, in Bryan, Ohio, to the late Charles Don Lirot and Lottie Evlyn Clark Lirot.

He married Tammy Lirot on October 22, 1995 and was married for 31 years. Ron worked for the city of Ocala for 28 years. Ron enjoyed being with his family and shining his light for Jesus Christ.
He will always be remembered as a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and family member. His life was filled with memories, relationships, and moments that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Though his time with us has come to an end, the love he shared with his family and the memories he created will continue to live on.
Ronald is survived by his children, son Tony Hendrix and his wife, Brittany; son Joey Lirot; and daughter Christal Velez and her husband, Peter.

He leaves behind seven grandchildren who will carry his memory and the love he gave them in their hearts: Alisia Hendrix, Zander Churchill, Tinsley Hendrix, Elliana Reynolds, Leilani Velez, Jensen Velez, and Lillian Williams.

He is also survived by his brothers Robert Lirot, Thomas Lirot Sr., and Paul Lirot and his wife, Karen; and his sister, Mary Holcomb. And husband Dave. Mother in law Cherrie Smith and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Charles Don Lirot and Lottie Evlyn Clark Lirot; and his siblings Becky Gambler, Pamela Duncan, Michael Lirot, John Lirot, Jeanette O'Malley, Patrick Lirot.

Ronald leaves behind a family who will carry his memory with them and cherish the moments they shared. His memory will live on through his children, grandchildren, siblings, extended family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. The love of a husband, father, and grandfather never truly leaves us, it remains in the stories we tell, the memories we treasure, and the lives he helped shape.

He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and lovingly remembered by his family and friends.

Ron’s celebration of Life will be held September 27, 2026 at 1:30 at the Church of Hope located at 3233 Maricamp Rd. Ocala, Fl 34471.

Following the service will be a time of fellowship with food and refreshments at Ascension Lutheran Church located at
5730 SE 28th street
