With deep love and gratitude for lives well lived, the family announces the passing of Sally Lou Keel and her beloved husband of 71 years, Jack Britton "JB" Keel. Together they shared a lifetime of unwavering love, devotion, faith, and family.
Sally Lou Keel passed away on May 24, 2026, at the age of 90. She was born on January 18, 1936, in Shepherd, Michigan, to George Leroy West and Althea West.
Jack Britton "JB" Keel passed away on July 16, 2026, at the age of 92. He was born on May 26, 1934, in Cottondale, Florida, to J Keel and Flossie Wright. JB proudly served his country in the United States Navy before beginning a long career with the United States Postal Service.
JB and Sally's love story began long before they married. As children growing up in Ocala, Florida, they were neighbors—Sally was five years old and JB was seven. That childhood friendship blossomed into a marriage that lasted 71 years, a beautiful testament to a lifetime of love, devotion, and partnership.
JB and Sally are survived by their sons, Britt Keel and his wife, Pam Keel and Art Keel and his wife, Aimee Keel; grandchildren Brian Hutchinson, Amanda Keel, Tyler Keel, and Colby Keel; and great-grandchildren Dane Hutchinson, Jace Hutchinson, Camden Keel, Brooks Keel, and Ledger Keel.
JB and Sally were preceded in death by their granddaughter, Heather Marie Hutchinson.
Their legacy is one of enduring love, steadfast faith, generosity, unwavering commitment to family, and a life beautifully lived together. They will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved them.
