Sharon Grimm Caruthers

Sharon Grimm Caruthers, 81, passed away on July 20, 2026, in Ocala, Florida. She was born August 14, 1944, in Redfield, South Dakota, to Orlyn and Fern Nielson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Orlyn and Fern (Arlene) Nielson of Tulare, South Dakota, and her late husbands, Thomas Grimm (1996) and Johnny Caruthers (2022).

She is survived by her daughter, Kami Dyals (Brian); her sisters, Janice Benning (Greg) and Peggy Reel (Leon); her brother, Larry Nielson (Jeni); her grandchildren, Cameron Dyals (Danielle), Aaron Dyals, and Lauren Dyals; and her loving stepdaughters, Donna Gahlbeck (Steve), Angela McLemore, and Theresa Ansbaugh.

She was a retired legal secretary with Klein & Klein in Ocala, where she worked for over 30 years. Prior to that, she worked for Senator Karl E. Mundt in Washington, D.C.

A memorial service will take place on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Central Christian Church, 3010 NE 14 th St., Ocala, FL 34470.
