Sharon Ruth Dion

Sharon Ruth Dion, age 74, of Ocala, Florida, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2026. She was born on September 2, 1951, in Ocala, Florida, the beloved daughter of Thomas and Florence Russell.

Born and raised in Ocala, Sharon remained deeply rooted in the community she proudly called home. She dedicated more than 44 years of service as a librarian at the Ocala Public Library, where she was recognized for her commitment, knowledge, and genuine love for Ocala History. She was devoted to her family and took great pride in being a loving mother. Her kindness, strength, and quiet dedication will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.

She is survived by her daughter, Michelle Mangano (Christopher), who will cherish her memory always.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 23, 2026, at Oakcrest Baptist Church. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place immediately afterward at Highland Memorial Park.
