Sondra Lee Gross

Jul 10, 1938 — Aug 10, 2026

ZEPHYRHILLS - Sondra Lee Gross “Sockey,” 88, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2026 at her daughter's home surrounded by her family.

She was a spirited and feisty woman who always said exactly what was on her mind. She lived life with a strong personality, a loving heart, a great sense of humor, and an infectious laugh that was contagious.

Her greatest joy in life was spending time with family and being called Nana. Being a Nana was one of the most special and treasured parts of her life. She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and cherished every moment she shared with them. She took great pride in watching them grow, celebrating their lives, and creating memories that will be treasured forever. To be her grandchild or great-grandchild was to know a love that was unconditional, fierce, and full of laughter. The love she had for her family was at the heart of who she was.

She is survived by her children, Debbie Vaclavik (Steve), Pamella Arciola (Carmen), and Charles Gross (Jodie); eight grandchildren, Lindsey Duffey (Nick), Whitney Jordan (Jake), Danielle Hendrix (Morgan), Kailey Toledo (Jonathan), Zachary Gross, Taylor Arciola, Heather Hochenberger and Sarah Hochenberger; and great-grandchildren, Avery Jordan, Aiden Jordan, McKennah Duffey and Chance Hendrix.

She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, strength, and family. She was the bond that brought her family together, and those who knew and loved her will carry her memory forward through the stories they share, the memories they hold dear, and the love she passed down through the generations to follow.

"She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come." — Proverbs 31:
