"Snoopy"

1950 – 2025

Stanley Joseph Swartout Sr., affectionately known as "Snoopy" to his friends, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on September 11, 2025, at the age of 75.

Born in Manhattan, New York, Stanley lived a full and fearless life defined by love, service, and craftsmanship. He proudly served his country in the United States Army as an infantryman during the Vietnam War from 1968 to 1969. A man of many talents, Stanley was a skilled tattoo artist, a passionate motorcycle enthusiast, and a master HVAC technician. Above all, he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend.

Stanley was married to the love of his life, Linda, for 56 years. Together they raised seven children: Richard, Renee, John, Geannine, Stanley Jr., Paul, and Steven. He was preceded in death by his beloved son Isaiah. He was a devoted grandfather to 14 grandchildren—one of whom preceded him in death—and a great-grandfather to 14 great-grandchildren.

Stanley’s presence lit up every room. His loyalty ran deep, and his love for family and friends knew no bounds. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew him.

A service with military honors will be held at Floride National Cemetery, Bushnel on Wednesday, October 1st, 2025, where he will be laid to rest with the dignity and respect he earned.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Stanley’s memory by spending time with your loved ones or taking a ride under the open sky—just as he would have wanted.
