Stephen Philip Thomas

Stephen Philip Thomas, 43, of Summerfield, Florida, passed away on April 10, 2026. He was born on February 8, 1983, in Jonesboro, Georgia. Stephen was preceded in death by his mother, Carol Ward and his stepson, Chris Cato.

A skilled brick mason by trade, Stephen took great pride in his work and the craftsmanship he brought to every project. He was known for his strong work ethic, kind heart, and the many friendships he built over the years, earning the nickname “Buzz” by his coworkers. Stephen had a way of connecting with people and will be remembered for his loyalty, warmth, and the good times shared.

He is lovingly remembered by his father and stepmother, Wesley and Judy Thomas, and by his sisters, Sheryl (Darrell) Roland and Kristy (Pax) Evans, nieces and nephews, Ashley (Chris) Sanders, Christina (Brandon) Short, Alexandria Hobbs, Olin, Libby, and Clayton Evans, cousin Lily Young, and a step grandson Ayaan, along with many friends who will miss him dearly.

His friends will host a Celebration of Life, April 25th at 6:00 pm in Ocala.
