DATSON, TANIS EILEEN

INTERLACHEN-Tanis Eileen Datson, 70, passed away November 23, 2021 in Gainesville, Florida. She was born September 14, 1951, in St. Petersburg, Florida to Edward Girton and Doris Sirmons. Tanis retired as a licensed mental health counselor for the Marion County School Board.

She is preceded in death by her father and step-mother  Edward & Joyce Girton,  her mother Doris Girton, her brother Edward Girton II, and her husband, Frank Datson.

She is survived by her daughter, Connie Thomas (Dennis); sisters, Carol Nickel and Donna Criner,  6 nieces, 3 nephews.  Three grandsons, Jonathan (Michelle), Matthew (Britni) & Kyle Thomas,  and one great- grandson Jacob Thomas, as well as her best friends of many years, Kim &  Karen Knight. She was called mom, aunt, & grandma by  many, many more that she dearly loved!

A  graveside memorial service will be officiated by Melvin Evans at 2 pm Saturday, December 11th, at Millwood Cemetary, 4345 NW 152 ST, REDDICK, FL, 32686.
