Thomas "Tommy" Perkins, Sr.

Silver Springs - Thomas Theodore Perkins Sr., passed away peacefully at home, July 14, 2015. Born March 6, 1930, in Santos, FL, to William Albert Perkins and Elsie Birty Stoeber Perkins. He was a veteran of the United States Army, and retired from Florida Power Corporation. Tommy was an avid hunter and faithful Gator fan as well as a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Ocala. He is preceded in death by his brother, William "Bill" Perkins, two sisters, Blanche Perry and Louise Rosenhamer, and one grandchild, Cherish Getford. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Harmonelle Perkins; sons, Laurence "Laury", Joseph "Jody" and Thomas "Chip" Perkins Jr.; five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am, Saturday, July 18, 2015 at the First Baptist Church of Ocala, 2801 SE Maricamp Rd., with Rev. Clarence Duncan and Rev. Samuel Clements officiating. Visitation will occur one hour prior to the service. There will be a reception at the church following the service at 12 Noon.
