Timothy Gene Atha

Jan 12, 1959 — Sep 3, 2026

Timothy Gene Atha, age 67, of Hawthorne, Florida, passed away on September 3, 2026. He was born on January 12, 1959 in Gallipolis, Ohio a son of Joel and Wilma Atha.

Tim was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who took great pride in his family. He was the father of three sons and two daughters, whom he loved dearly. By God’s grace and mercy, he was able to reconnect and reconcile with his youngest son in recent years. His children were his pride and joy.

Being a dad was something he cherished, but becoming a grandpa was one of the greatest joys of his life. He loved his grandchildren with his whole heart and cherished every moment with them. He was the kind of grandfather whose love could be felt in all the little things he did. His grandchildren will forever carry the memories of his love, his laughter, and the countless ways he was always there for them.

He and his wife, Evelyn, shared a love that was truly special. Although they were married for eight years, they had been together for 17 years and were, in every sense of the word, soulmates. Their life together was filled with so much love, happiness, and memories that will be cherished forever.

He was a man who loved the simple things in life. He was happiest outdoors, whether he was hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycle, or sitting around a fire with his best friend, Terry. He also rarely went anywhere without his shotgun rider, his dog, Banjo.

He will be remembered not only for the things he loved, but for the way he loved his family, showed up for others, and made people feel like they mattered. He had a generous heart and never hesitated to lend a hand to anyone who needed it. He leaves behind a lifetime of memories and a family who will carry his love with them always.

He was preceded in death by: His parents Joel and Wilma (Fraley) Atha, his brothers; Dave Atha and Paul Atha

He leaves behind to cherish his memory: his wife; Evelyn (Lockhart) Atha, sons; Joel Atha, Jordan Atha, and Dustin Atha (Mandy), daughters; Jessica Lowe (Ben) and Erin North, best friend; Terry Hudnall (Theresa), seven grandchildren; Andrea Fleetwood (Cj), Brian Lowe (Anna), Connor Lowe, Charles North Jr., Emma North, Cooper Atha and Henley Atha, and two great grandchildren; Cashton Fleetwood and another one on the way.
