Tonya Ackerson

Tonya Geneva Ackerson passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at home on Wednesday April 27, 2022 in Orange Springs, FL. She was born on February 5, 1968 in Jamestown, NC.

Tonya was preceded in death by her parents, Blount and Patricia McRae; brother, Blount McRae Jr.

She is survived by her husband of 21 years, Samuel Ackerson; daughter, Kelsey Null; son, Seth Ackerson; stepson, Steven Simpson; granddaughters, Brook Locke and Joanna Schleitwiler; grandson, Kaiden Locke; siblings, Linda McRae and Brenda (Hugh) Matchett; mother and father in law, Kathy (Steve) Ackerson; sister in laws, Nyla (Wilson) Soto and December Ackerson (Hector Robles); brother in laws, Clifford Ackerson and Robert Blevins; and many nieces and nephews.

Tonya Loved her family and friends and will be greatly missed. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday May 7, 2022 at Brend and Hugh Matchett house; 12075 NE 212st road, Fort McCoy, FL 32134 at 2:00 p.m.
