Violet Morris

September 5, 1926 — December 7, 2015

Ocala –

Violet Jean Morris, 89, was called home to be with her Lord Monday, December 7, 2015 while under the loving care of the staff at Life Care of Ocala.  Born September 5, 1926 in Anderson Indiana. She lived most of her adult life in Muncie, Indiana.  She was a child of the great depression & she served her country during World War II by working in an Airplane Plant at Hill Air Base in Utah. A graduate of Muncie Central High School. She worked as the first ward clerk at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie for many years and left to start her own Antique Business; moving to Ocala 25 plus years ago. She worked until the age of 85 part-time with Department of Correction/Probation in Belleview Fl and Ocala. Violet enjoyed singing, cooking & sewing. She was an accomplished artist with many paintings and earned a blue ribbon for her china painting. She loved nature, fishing & the beauty of God's creation. Violet loved animals; had several dogs over her lifetime whom she cherished. Family Gatherings were her favorite times, but any party would do for her as she loved to talk & be with people. She was a devout Christian , devoted to prayer, loved her church & church family at Olivet Baptist Church; She is preceded by her husband Bill Morris. Survived by her sons, Jimmy Ratcliff (Norda) and Danny Williams (Barbara); daughters, Paula Goodpaster (Bill) and Sheila George. Memorial Service will be held 3:30 p.m., Saturday, December 19, 2015, at Olivet Baptist Church with Pastor Mike Davis officiating. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the church.
