Virginia "Gini" Margaret Green

Virginia "Gini" Margaret Green, age 86, of Ocala, Florida, passed away on October 19, 2025. She was born to Calvin and Virginia Rock on November 14, 1938, in Detroit Michigan, the eldest of ten children.

She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Gini loved our Lord and was a devout Methodist, serving her Church as Communion Steward, and serving others for many years in managing the thrift shop ministry.

Gini showed her love for all by crocheting gifts for others, such as drawstring bags, slippers, towel holders and elaborate afghans. As a master gardener, Gini had plants all around her home and a garden in the yard.

Virginia was preceded in death by a daughter Virginia Ann Hagedorn, first husband Herman Hagedorn, second husband Joseph Green, her brothers Paul Rock and Calvin Rock, and her sisters Charlene Lee, Vicky Rock, and Bonnie Fountaine.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her son David Hagedorn (Janet), daughters Cheryl Yoder (Jeff), and Kimberly McCullars (Robert), brothers Richard Rock and Charles Bogden, and sisters Calene Hunrath and Diane Egon. She also leaves behind nine grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and seven great great grandchildren.

Countryside Funeral Home has been entrusted with the final arrangements.
