Virginia Ruth Wimer

Virginia Ruth (Marshall) Wimer, 96 of Palmetto, Florida formerly of Olney, Illinois was promoted to Glory on 21 August, 2025, at Palm Garden of Ocala, Florida.

She was born on 13 September, 1928 in Olney, Illinois the daughter of Russell and Eva (Terhune) Bunting. She married Clyde Marshall on 15 October, 1945 in Olney, Illinois.

Virginia and Clyde had three children, Eddie Marshall (Regina), Vicki Hahn (Delmar), and Lowana Ervin (John).

She married Robert Wimer on September 19, 1992 in Olney, Illinois. They moved to Palmetto, Florida for the remainder of her life. Robert preceded her in death on January 27, 2000.

Virginia was a wife and mother who enjoyed bowling, playing card, crafting with ceramics, sewing, crochet, and singing. She also loved to travel and was an avid dog lover. She was a member of the Assembly of God for many years.

Preceding her in death were her parents, a sister, two brothers, her beloved husband of 44 years, Clyde, her son Eddie and daughter Vicki, and Robert Wimer.

Surviving Virginia is her daughter, Lowana and her husband John and their five children Johnnie, Chyree, Heidi, Jeremie and Jason. Eddie (Regina) children Dory, April, and Summer, and Vicki's Children Mark, Mike, and Tim. Also surviving are 32 Great Grandchildren and many Great Great Grandchildren; as well as many other family and friends who will miss her dearly.

Virginia will be buried beside her husband Clyde at Crest Haven Cemetery in Olney, Illinois at a later date with a possible memorial service at that time.
