William Danny Burns

William Danny Burns, age 72, of Ocala, Florida, passed away on August 1, 2025. He was born on July 24, 1953, in Dyersburg, Tennessee, a son of Taft and Callie Burns.

He was a devoted foster father to many infants, with a remarkable heart for children with special needs. A lifelong Disney enthusiast, he visited often and found joy in its magic. His long and fulfilling career as a Nurse Anesthetist was one of the great highlights of his life. Above all, he was a man of deep faith—someone who not only followed God but delighted in His presence every day.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory; wife, Glenda Burns; sons, Brian Burns (Brittney), Ben Shriver (Rachel); daughter, Emily Lasgaard (Joel); brother, Dennis Burns; grandchildren, Gabe, Olivia, Selma, Polly, Ezra.

A Memorial Service will be held at Oak Lane Christian Church in Collierville, Tennessee at a later date.

The cremation arrangements have been entrusted with Countryside Funeral Home.
