William Hein

July 1, 1958 — December 15, 2022

William Karl Hein, 64, passed away in Ocala, FL.  His Heavenly Father welcomed him home on December 15, 2022.  He was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan on July 1, 1958.  He grew up in Ann Arbor, Jackson, and Charlevoix Michigan.  He graduated from Parkside High School in Jackson, Michigan, and attended Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, MI.

He was the youngest Disc Jockey at WKHM, in Jackson Michigan ever hired, at 17 in 1975, mentored by the late Wendell Goler, Fox News White House Correspondent.  He owned and operated Karmody’s Disco Dock in Jackson, MI, a successful dance studio for area teens. He also was an achieved graphic artist throughout his life, which included working at Lake News in Lady Lake, FL, who owned three area shopper newspapers.

He also loved his country and was an avid activist for our Constitution, liberty, and freedom!  He very much enjoyed collecting antiques, and items from the past, and had an online business called “Ecliptic Utilities.”  He loved his family, and friends, always ready to be “The handyman helper!” His love for boats and marinas were a true enjoyment for him.  He was a seasoned sailboat operator by the age of 12.  He enjoyed water skiing, swimming, and fishing growing up on lake Charlevoix.  He had a generous heart and will be extremely missed by all who knew him. Bill loved his Lord, first, and foremost!

His Parents G. William and Karel (Shepard) Hein preceded him in death.

He is survived by his sister Alicia Hein Buff, Ocala, FL.  His niece Cynthia Buff Anderson and (Christopher Anderson) Ocala, FL.  His maternal Uncle, Tom Shepard (Glenna), and many beloved cousins.

Donations can be made to the American Heart Association.

“I know that my redeemer lives and that in the end he will stand on the earth.”  Job 19:25
