Alice Fontana

May 29, 1929 — September 23, 2021

Ocala

Alice Fontana, 92, beloved sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother passed peacefully
on September 23, 2021, to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. A native New Yorker, born
Alessandria Cipriano in Brooklyn to Italian immigrants Giuseppe and Theresa Cipriano. Moved from
Brooklyn to Deer Park, NY in 1962, before moving to Ocala, FL in 1973. Married to Antonio (Tony)
Fontana for 60 years before his passing in 2013. Alice enjoyed a wonderful life as a loving and devoted
wife, sister of 6 siblings, mother of 6 children, grandmother of 11, and great grandmother of 13. Her
love extended beyond her own family, including being a foster mother to many children, caregiver to
those in need, and faithful friend. She especially liked cooking for large gatherings of family and friends,
sharing stories of days past, and making people laugh. Her smile was ever present to her last days.

Predeceased are husband Antonio Fontana, and son Corey Fontana. She leaves her sister Marie Albans
of Northport, FL, son Vincent Fontana and daughter-in-law Suzanne Fontana of Tallahassee, son Joseph
Fontana and daughter-in-law Gina Fontana of St. Petersburg, son Paul Fontana and daughter-in-law
Elaina Fontana of Winter Garden, son Thomas Fontana and daughter-in-law April Fontana of Ocala,
daughter Patricia Lehmann and son-in-law Ryan Lehmann of Ocala. Grandchildren; Marie Hartney,
Joseph Fontana, Jr., Christopher Fontana, Daniel Fontana, Lewis Fontana, Nolan Fontana, Alex Fontana,
Adam Fontana, Paul Kurfiss, Stephanie Baldwin, and Heather Kurfiss. Great Grandchildren; Catherine
Hartney, John Hartney, Elizabeth Hartney, Madelyn Hartney, Mila Fontana, Mason Fontana, Monroe
Fontana, Ariana Fontana, Liam Fontana, Luca Fontana, Alex Fontana, Jr, Aria Fontana, and Jayce Kurfiss.

A memorial service for Alice will be held at 10AM Saturday November 6 th , at Blessed Trinity Catholic
Church in Ocala, FL. Alice’s place of final resting will be with her husband Tony at Forest Lawn Cemetery
in Ocala, FL.
