Dennis Mackey

Dennis Quinton Mackey, 74, went to be with the Lord on Good Friday, April 15, 2022, in Ocala, Florida. He was born January 30, 1948, to Horace James Mackey and Dorothy Mae (Morrison) Mackey.  Dennis attended Ocala High School and served in the US Navy from 1966 - 1969.
He owned/operated Precision Cut Lawn Service for 19 years and retired from the Marion County School System in 2014. His favorite hobbies included classic cars and fishing any time he could.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Larry Mackey.
Dennis is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Janet; daughter, Karen Jones (Mark) of Little Torch Key, FL; son, Jeff Mackey (Kerri) of Citra, FL; grandson, Denny Mackey of Citra, FL and brother, Mike Mackey of Summerfield, FL.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 23, 2022, at Greenwood Cemetery in Ocala.  Family and friends are invited to attend. Arrangements under the care of Countryside Funeral Home.
