Joe Harrison

Joe C. Harrison Jr. of Ocala, FL, died peacefully at home surrounded by family after a brief illness on August 2, 2022. Joe was born in August of 1956 to his parents Joe C. Harrison Sr. and Dorothy Miller who preceded him in death. Joe leaves a large loving family that includes his wife of 23 years Georgia Harrison of Ocala, FL, four children: Joe C. Harrison III (Amanda) Jacksonville, FL, Lena Rothermel (Mark) Ocala, FL, Michael Wallace (Jada) Ocala, FL and Cheyenne Rousseau of Crestview, FL. Joe has 7 grandchildren that he adored; Nathan, Nichole, Natalia, Raelyn, Abigail, Bailey, and Grayson. Joe also is survived by seven siblings: Tramble Harrison, Christopher Harrison, Jim Miller, Dwight Gotterg, Jennifer Miller, Marianne Williams, and Jackie Gottberg. A brother, Richard Miller, preceded him in death.

Joe lived a full life. He was a heavy equipment operator and truck driver for multiple companies and worked as Crew Supervisor at Marion County B.C.C. from which he retired. Joe was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, serving 13 years. Joe enjoyed motorcycles, cars, and fishing and great food. He was a generous man with his time and resources to all his family and friends. Joe was also a man of faith and was a member of Living Waters worship center.

Celebration of life to be held 11:00 a.m. at Living Waters Worship Center on Friday, August 5, 2022. Interment to follow at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
