John Mcgovern

July 20, 1945 — December 19, 2020

John A. McGovern, 75, loving husband and father passed away on December 19th 2020 in St. Augustine, FL after a courageous two year battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born July 20, 1945 in Ocala Florida to John and Louise McGovern. He served our country in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He was a high school teacher and Coach at Crescent City High School for many years.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, June Martin McGovern; daughter Amy Kelly (Kenny); daughter Ashley Fong (Wilson); son John McGovern (Teris); daughter Andrea Cordova (Brian); sister Mary McGovern Cockes(Doug); Grandchildren Chase Kelly, Lauren Kelly, Avery Kelly, Pasha Fong, Phoenix Fong, Kaidy Best, Ashton Best, and John "Mac" McGovern.

A graveside Celebration of Life will be at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 28, 2020 in Ft. McCoy Cemetery, 14600 NE 110 Ave Road Fort McCoy, FL 32134. Visitation with family to follow service.  Social distancing and masks are appreciated.
