Linda Raymond

It is with great sorrow in our hearts that we announce the passing of our mother, Linda Ann Raymond, age 77, in Ocala, Florida. She was born on January 4th, 1945 in Keokuk, Iowa and entered into the Lord’s rest on April 19th, 2022 of natural causes. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 49 years, Harold J. Raymond, her parents Edmond Brotherton and Faith Holcomb, brothers Wayne and Gary Brotherton, and grandchildren John and Kayla Hobbs.

She is survived by her sister, Wanda Morris, sons Harold L Raymond III, Frank D. Raymond, James C. Raymond, her daughter June M. Hamilton, 5 grandchildren; Vanessa, Kaylynne, Nathan, Dale, and Colton, and 5 great grandchildren; Emma, Chelsea, Chase, Luis, and Avalene.

Linda spent many good years employed by the US Post Office in both Kentucky and Florida eventually retiring as a Supervisor. Some of her favorite hobbies included creating colored pencil art, crossword puzzles, wordsearch puzzles, and was an avid reader of many different styles of writings but preferred romance novels the most. In many ways, Linda was a “Moms Mom”, always looking ahead for us, willing to give counsel and advice as she saw fit. We will miss her dearly and she will always have a very special place in our hearts.

We as a family, are planning to bury both Mom and Dad together, in the Military Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida in a private ceremony.

A Celebration Of Life event will be scheduled for family and friends alike as we remember the wonderful times we all had together.

As a family we want to thank all of those who are helping us with this difficult transition even if the only thing you can do is pray for us, you are deeply appreciated and loved by us all. Thank YOU so much.
