Norellen Pickell

September 2, 1943 — April 15, 2021

Ocala

Norellen Weber Pickell, 77, of Ocala went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 15, 2021. She was born in Detroit Michigan on September 2, 1943 to the late John and Nora Weber. She was preceded in death by her son, Robert (Bob) Kibler and sister, Katherine Meachan. Mrs. Pickell is survived by her husband, Edward Pickell, a brother, John Weber (Mary) and daughter, Renee' Page (Chuck). Norellen was a wonderful Grandmother to Erin Page Fox (Will), Alexis Page, Allison Page and Phillip Page. She also enjoyed the special title of Step Mom to Joseph Pickell and Rosheen Pickell Gray and Step Grandmother to Kyra Gray, David Hussey and Cillian Hussey. In addition, she also recently earned the title Great Grandmother to Francine Fox. Special nieces and nephews include: Merilee Pierzyownski (Jeff), Lorianne Meacham code, Michael Meacham (Hiroe), John Weber (Diana), Jason Weber (Kim), Jody Weber Phelps (Jimmy).  The following cousins held a special place in Norellen's heart:  Kindreds, Katrosciks, Suchan,s and others provided many laughs and tears over the years and those memories filled the distance gaps. As many were scattered across the coutnry.  Norellen was a home bound member of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church in Ocala, Fl.

Norellen had a life of some struggles with health and adversity over which she triumphed.  She dealt with the tragic loss of son Robert by forming an Ocala branch of "Compassionate Friends" and a neighborhood group which sent care boxes to troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.  Though not enjoying good health, Norellen always managed to project an almost magical aura of fun and laughter around herself.  She is, and was, a gift of light and warmth to the world. To her husband Ed, she was the best wife ever a man could hope for. Norellen had a love for her family, friends and "never met a stranger" after the first encounter.
