Peggy Thorne

Peggy Eleanor Thorne, 82, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2021 in Ocala, Florida. She was born February 26, 1939 in Hartford, Alabama to Edmon Shirley and Lillian Clark Shirley. She worked in the cafeteria for over 32 years before retiring with the Marion County School Board.

She is preceded by her parents; loving husband, Curits Thorne; sister, Mary Sue Davis.

She is survived by her son, David Thorne; sister, Patsy Tyler; brothers, Tony Shirley and Larry Shirley; numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday June 11, 2021 at Waldena Cemetery.
