Sheila Alger

Sheila Marie Alger, 76, of Ocala, FL, went to be with her Savior on May 5, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born on March 2, 1947, to the late Lloyd Earl Alger and Frances Lucille Snowden in Lansing, Michigan, but lived most of her life in Florida.

Sheila leaves behind to cherish her memory Saundra Rodgers Vaught (Eric), Tammy Gardner (Kevin), Robin Hawkins, Randall Rodgers (Melissa), Robert Kirby (Patty), Michael Kirby (Amber), grandchildren John (Evelyn), Amber, Samantha (Hunter), Gavin (Taylor), Hunter, Hailey, Hannah, Kaitlynn, Amy, Aaron (Lisa), Daniel (Amanda), Brandi (Stephen), Terry, Michelle (Nicholas), Randy (Stephanie), Justin, 25 great-grandchildren and sisters Charlene Myers, Kimberly Dobbs, brothers Gary, and Rob Alger. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Frances, brother Lonnie, sister Pauline and daughters Debbie, Cindy, and Donna.

Sheila loved her family dearly and was a devoted Mother, Father, Nanny, Sister, Aunt, and Friend to many. She was a Godly, strong, brave woman who lived a challenging life. She raised terrific children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren she loved so much. She accomplished so many things as a single mom, including being a breast cancer survivor for 36 years, having a career in phlebotomy for 25 years, and working in the Marion County school system after retiring. She lived a life full of love, laughter, and adventure and will be missed dearly.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, May 13th @ 3 pm at TruLife Church, Address: 1345 Pine Rd Ocala FL 34472. led by Michael Kirby
